Shade and heat are different questions
A shade describes how much visible light passes through. Infrared rejection describes part of the energy spectrum. Total solar energy rejection is a different measurement again. Compare like-for-like figures and ask how the existing glass affects the result.
Read NANO and NANO X side by side
Both use nano ceramic technology and reject 99% of UV according to their product data. Read the technical details for each film. NANO X is our top grade, but no claim is made that it rejects more total heat than NANO at every matching shade.
Confirm the windows and aftercare
Get the chosen film, shade and covered windows listed in the quote. Ask about existing tint removal, drying time, window use after installation and compatible cleaning products. Follow the film-specific instructions supplied by the installer.
